Frequently Asked Questions
If you're working remotely, how do I get work to you?
Through the beauty that is the internet! Email. Skype. Google Docs. Dropbox. Asana. Facebook Messenger. We can use all these tools and more to communicate and share information with each other.
Do I pay you like an employee? Am I responsible for your superannuation and sick leave?
No. The great thing about working with an external service provider instead of hiring a part-time or casual employee is I'm an independent contractor so I'm responsible for the payment of my superannuation and taxes, etc.
What are your payment terms?
Full payment upfront secures your place in my schedule if you require ad hoc assistance. For ongoing weekly/monthly support, I require the equivalent of one week hours paid in full upfront to book your place in my schedule and then invoices are issued every fortnight.
How can I pay you?
Via Credit Card, PayPal or Direct Deposit if you're located in Australia.
What's your refund policy?
Due to the nature of my services, I don't currently offer refunds. If there were an issue while we're working together, I'd hope we could communicate and sort out the situation.
Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?
Yes. It's also written into my service agreement.
What hours do you work?
My "working hours" are between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday AEST but we can discuss availability outside of these hours if you need help and assistance outside of these hours. Urgent work (without prior notice) outside of business hours does incur an additional surcharge and is charged in 15 min intervals.
Can we meet or work together in person?
Yes. If you're located in the Newcastle/Maitland/Central Coast region of Australia, I can meet with you at a cafe or your office and can provide marketing/administrative assistance in person (removing the virtual-ness!). If you're in Sydney and happy to top up my Opal card for the day (or pay petrol from Newcastle to Sydney and back), I'm more than happy to head down and help you out with any in-person support you need.
